1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL
The last W113 to be restored by Bruce Kelly at “Lake Country Classics” (now defunct after Bruce’s passing in 2018) in Minneapolis, MN. Originally white with green MB tex interior. This car was color changed to metallic green upon the wishes of the customer paying for the restoration at Lake Country Classics.
Over $5,000 in post restoration sorting over the past few years. All wood refinished by Madera Concepts – March 2022. We rarely use the words ‘turn key’ when we describe a 50 year old car, but that’s what we’ve got here. Runs and drives as good as it looks.

Paint and exterior
Gorgeous color change repaint, many photos in the paint booth in various stages of the paint process. Fender notches, spot welds, correct body number stamping on hood, all the things you want to see in a W113 Pagoda SL.
Upholstery and interior
Excellent upholstery and carpet. All wood refinished March 2022 by Madera Concepts at a cost of over $1700.
Original Engine: No
Correct, factory replacement engine installed sometime prior to restoration, probably late 1970s or 1980s. True mileage is unknown.
Due to engine replacement, true mileage is unknown.
Wheels and tires
Original 14" steel wheels with body color hub caps. Michelin tires installed 2017 and date stamped 2017.
4 wheel disc brakes operate properly.
4 speed manual transmission. Transmission removed and overhauled with new synchronizers and bearings - March of 2020 by marque expert (service receipts are with the car).
