1979 Yamaha YZ125F
1979 is an interesting year for the YZ125, as was just about every year until the mid '80s when Yamaha seemed to keep the models a bit more consistent year to year. Considered an "F" model, the '79 featured the shortest suspension travel of the 125 class but with it nice handling and a solid engine. It is often overshadowed by the '80 which offered full length long travel suspension and was significantly more competitive.
I purchased this bike from my friend Kyle Smith (who had bought it from Larry Webster) after he nabbed a class win on it at the Barber Vintage Fest cross country race in 2019.
