1981 Yamaha Yz465h
Last year of the MX dominating YZ465. The big bore Yamaha YZ465 debuted in 1980 and ceased production in 1981. The '81 Model known by the letter designation of H, featured a steeper rake angle than the '80, had revised porting, larger diameter rear axle, five-speed transmission and updated large 43mm KYB forks. In many ways it is an end of an era as stylistically it represents the last of the Yamahas featuring the distinct gas tank and seat before MX bikes began incorporating the more ergonomic "safety seats." This particular bike has been resto-modded with a crisp and powerful fresh engine, powder-coated frame, Racetech suspension front and rear, custom machined hubs laced to brand new gold Full Circle rims, and new plastics.
