Story

I bought my first Corvette in 1972 it was a big block that I couldn't leave alone and kept building it up until it had so much power my wife wouldn't drive it anymore. The engine was a Mercury Racing Engine from racing Division and we had to lower the compression from 13 1/2 to 11 1/2 to 1 just so I could buy gas. It had a turbo 400 transmission with a shift kit and in 1977 would go 0 to 60 in less than four seconds it was absolutely dangerous but it was a exciting car to drive.

The car was Ontario orange and I intended to keep it in my entire life but in 1996 it had a little fire under the hood. The insurance company first offered me $6,000 which I rejected. They sent out an independent adjuster and noticed that it had all L88 components and Factory air and they push the value to over $20,000. So I took $1,000 less and kept the car and then sold it burned for 5,000. It's the only time I actually made money on a Corvette.

In 2009. I bought our 2nd Corvette & then 2 more.
