1967 Plymouth GTX
This 1967 Plymouth GTX was built at the Lynch Road Detroit assembly plant and shipped to Canada as a SOLD order on January 24, 1967. It has been registered in with Chrysler Historical Society and decoded by Galen Govier. It underwent a rotisserie restoration while in the care of Mark Young of Portland, OR in 2004. It has traveled a little over 1,000 miles since that time and still shows very nicely. I purchased the car from a classic car dealer in Lakeland, FL on April 3, 2014 and have done little to it since then. It retains the factory data plate under the hood as well as its original 440 cubic inch Super Commando engine putting 375 horsepower to the pavement. Power is routed through an 18 spline HEMI A833 4-speed transmission to a Dana 60 differential with 3:54 gears. This car is a very nice driver with Power Steering & Brakes and an upgraded AM/FM tuner built into the original Solid State AM Radio.
Paint and exterior
As mentioned previously, this GTX shows its original factory color of Code 881 Bright Blue Metallic which was resprayed in 2004. It still has show quality paint with no rust, bubbling or other flaws in the paint.
Upholstery and interior
Black front bucket seats have been recovered in their original material as well as the rear bench seat. Seat belts are present in both the front and rear and the black carpet shows as new. Door panels are in nice, original condition.
