I turned 70 years old in January of 2023 and I have been in LOVE with muscle cars since I was 13 years old. My Dad was the GM of an Oldsmobile dealership in Concord, NC when I was a teenager and he used to drive GTOs, 442s and the like home in the evenings after work. Following supper, while he was smoking his cigar and reading the newspaper I would escape to the garage and listen to WAYS-AM in Charlotte while pretending to drive one of these cars all over town with my “girl”at my side. One evening, he offered to let me drive a 4-speed 1965 Dark Blue 442 around the neighborhood and I was hooked! In 1967, he purchased the Oldsmobile dealership in Greenville, North Carolina just in time for me to become the recipient of a brand new 1969 442 at Christmas, 1968. Over the years, I was fortunate to drive a number of high performance Oldsmobiles and was once recognized as one of the leading authorities on validating genuine W machines from all over the country. The car business was not for me, but the love of American V8, manual transmission hardware has never subsided! I currently house and maintain a collection of 26 American classic/muscle cars ranging from a 1949 Rocket Oldsmobile 98 Futuramic convertible up to a 2013 Dodge SRT-8 Challenger/Daytona Conversion. The collection includes, MOPARS, a Corvette, Camaro SS’s, Trans Am WS6s, 2006 GTO, 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca, 2009 Shelby GT500KR, 2007 Saleen SC281 coupe, 2008 Roush 427R Trak Pak, 1969 Rivera, and a 1988 ASC McLaren.
