1972 Datsun 240Z
The car was in a large collection and hadn’t been driven in a long, long time. My son and I worked tirelessly on fixing everything that was mechanically wrong with it. We outsourced the suspension rebuild and a few other things. In time we came to realize that the engine wasn’t running up to par and we transplanted a ultra high performance 3.0 liter engine with EFI. The car has no rust and is extremely solid. We also upgrade to Wilwood brakes, 5 speed transmission and a heavy duty differential.
Paint and exterior
The paint is a refresh from what I can see. While it’s not concours, it’s very nice.
Upholstery and interior
The interior is in good condition with only one crack in the dash pad. A future need will be repairing the drooping headliner.
Original Engine: No
The engine is ultra high performance. It is balanced and blueprinted with 11:1 forged pistons, extensive flow work on the head, with large valves and high lift cam. It also has an aluminum flywheel. It’s about 300 HP.
My son rebuilt the transmission himself.🙏
