1967 Jaguar E-Type
S1 car with triple carbs and toggle switches but uncovered headlights. We patiently watched it sit dead for 18 years in my friend's cousin's garage. We finally got it in 2000 and rebuilt the carbs, redid the fuel system, rebuilt the brakes added a stereo then drove it 300 miles to the 40th anniversary of the E-Type at Mid-Ohio. Now has the dreaded combination of a slipping clutch and dragging brakes......
Paint and exterior
Scruffy driver with 100 amp Bosch alternator sporting a wire EDM'd pulley to use the original siamesed belt. Pertronix and transistorized fuel pump.
Upholstery and interior
Original with driver seat back in poor shape....
Original Engine: Yes
We have added abut 4K miles since I recommissioned it.
Wheels and tires
Ancient Michelin Red Stripes
Stock and now dragging from too much sitting.
