1956 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible

This car is a NCRS Top Flight car and received a score of 94. Only 3 owners. Other than the original clock everything works like it should, shifts great, windows roll up and down properly, both tops fit great, Straight body and great fitments, keys are the original GM keys, this is a radio delete car so no radio or antenna hole on the body. 1 of only 3,467 Convertibles Ever Produced and 1 of 120 with White Coves Produced. Removable Hardtop and Black Convertible Top, The Hardtop stand is also included. This is a Survivor Car that has not been restored it has however had had an older repaint that still presents very well. New parts recently installed, New Original Radiator and hoses, Fan belts, new brake shoes, wheel cylinders and hoses, new fuel pump and hose, new spark plugs and wires, points, rotor and cap, oil change with new oil filter, newer clutch and floor mats. Also available with the car are the original wheels and tires (Not recommended for driving) these must be requested as they are currently being stored separately.

Paint and exterior

3rd corvette ever made, C1 designation was the 1st significant redesign of the body style. Polo White Paint. Cove inserts and smoother exterior lines. This first-generation Corvette now offered buyers outside door handles, roll-up windows in place of the rudimentary side curtains, and adjustable passenger seating, power steering was optional and a removable hardtop that was virtually waterproof. Great fiberglass prep, no frame/birdcage rust. The bumpers and all the exterior trim like new.

Upholstery and interior

Beautiful “Al Knock” Interior in great contrasting red with white dash gauge cluster. Bucket seats w console. In dash Tack. Corvette branding. Dash mounted rear view mirror. The carpet is in excellent condition as it is the entire interior.

Turbo-fire special V8 engine, compression ratio 9.25:1. 265 Cubic Inch V8 Engine features include mechanical lifters, high-lift camshaft, high-speed valve system. Valve-in-head design. 210 hp at 4200 rpm, Torque 255 ish foot-pounds at 3600 rpm. Red steel valve covers with Chevrolet in white script. Original generator charging system. Rear Axle 3.27:1 Ratio.
