1964 Thunderbird Convertible description

Thunderbird’s “fourth” three-year body style launched in 1964. Another truly beautiful Sports Roadster. A dealer-installed tonneau cover was offered again to help-revive the two-seat aircraft like interior memories. Power steering and Power brakes were standard, as in 1963. Original Big Block 390 Cubic Inch V8 Engine, 3 Speed Automatic Transmission, Code A Black Raven Paint with Very Nice White contrasting Vinyl Interior with Bucket Seats, Unique aircraft inspired instrumentation, Swing Away Steering Wheel, Center Console, Power Convertible Top that Folds into the Trunk with all power working just like it should, this car is ready to be driven and enjoyed anywhere! A fine example of the workmanship and passion that went into building vehicles back in 1964. And amazing front end design featured the hood sheet metal and the fender sheet metal on top of the headlights and an amazing chrome grill/bumper that went underneath the headlights, forming a almost wishbone shaped enclosure. Large chrome insert hood scooBig rectangular tail lights with a perfectly centered Thunderbird emblem in the middle. No mistaking what kind of car this was. The console was its own creation that featured indicator lights, electrical switches and curved up and molded into the gauge cluster of the car. The worlds big fins became a body lip along the entire top edge of the car from the tail to the nose. A body line 3/4 of the way down the body of the car only added to the dynamic shape and truly magnificent body of the 1964 Thunderbird. Power windows and Power door locks. Wire spoked wheels with mock knock off spinners and raised white letter tires. Considering the age of the car the undercarriage is what I would call very good. There is still a bunch of spots where the original factory under coating is still stuck to the floor pans. One or 2 holes. Fenders have the stamp codes designating them as original sheet metal fenders for the car.

Paint and exterior

Very nice CODE A a Raven black basecoat clearcoat paint job. Shows very well.
