Very nice Box Nova SS. Recent body on restoration. Professional, well thought out and executed build. The Nova was the top model in the Chevy lineup through 1968. Built on the X-body platform, these Novas, especially the 66 and 67 are highly sought after by collectors. Many were turned into drag cars, so finding one that has not been mini tubbed or caged gets harder and harder every year. Born D Nantucket Blue she now sports a brilliant red base coat clear coat paint job. Designed by Clare MacKichan. The first Chevy II was built at the Willow Run, Michigan assembly line August 1961, for its September 29 release. Second Generation 1966/1967 Chevy IIs featured a sharp-edged restyle based in part on the Super Nova concept car. A bold grille and semi-fastback roofline, "Humped" fenders and a angular rear end plus vertical taillights and single headlights made the car stand out by many as one of the great Chevy American body designs in classic car history.
