Real GTO Convertible by 242 vin and PHS Paperwork. Extensive Frame Off Rotisserie Restoration starting with painting the frame, floor pans, inner wheel wells. 100’s of NEW PARTS and bolts for example the trunk latch assembly and spring, hood latches & bolts. New Vent Windows. New weather stripping entire car. The GTO was a completely new model for 1966. One of the most popular designed muscle cars of the 1960’s. Both unique engineering. A new distinction of style and performance. John Z. DeLorean, was GM’s Vice-President & Pontiac's General Manager. In 1966, the entire Tempest line had been redesigned. A GTO is a Tempest with top of the line GTO Trim Modeling. Newly designed unique grille, parking lamps, hood, and ornamentation. Full length rocker panel molding plus rocker extensions on the front and rear fenders. New rear end styling and tail light designs p horizontal painted louvers on each side of the rear end panels. A lower silhouette and wider appearance while maintaining the look of power and prestige, interior identification on the doors & instrument panels and six interior color choices. 66 was Pontiacs 40th year anniversary. Power Steering, Power Brakes, New Redline Tires. This car runs and drives excellent and turns heads everywhere it goes.

Paint and exterior

Professionally painted the correct color code R Montero Red. The body is straight and rust free. Photos documenting of the build are included in a photo album. Perfect bumpers, trim wheel well moldings, and emblems. 10

Born Red Interior, bucket seats and a center console with White Convertible top create a stunning color combination! Interior and top are both in like new condition. Same owner since 1997. Dash and Wood Grain Dash Bezel are like new! Top Boot and Original Spare Tires are also included. 9+


Original Engine: Yes

Rebuilt 389 Tri Power V8 Engine rated at 360 horsepower and 388 torque @ 2400 rpm with 8.6 compression pistons. Chrome valve covers and 3 chrome air filer covers. Original dual plane cast-iron intake manifold and exhaust manifolds. First introduced in 1959 it would become one of the most popular muscle car engines. The engine evolved from the Pontiac 370 in which the stroke was increased. Numerous design improvements to the 389 during its eight year run. 9
