1940 Ford Tudor Sedan Standard

Some of the most iconic, instantly recognizable automobiles that the Ford ever made. Custom Trunk. Born a 221 in.³ V8 L Head w 3 speed manual. The 1937-1940 generation were very sought after for hot rodding and early stock car racing. The standard Ford Tudor had the same grille as 1939. Heavier headlight surrounds. Heavy center chrome grill with black out on both sides, with Sealed-beam headlights. A high flat-topped hood was a significant feature. Ford 9" Rear Axle, Rack and Pinion Power Steering, Mustang II Front End. Vintage Air Conditioning. This is a great running and driving classic car you can drive anywhere in comfort.

Paint and exterior

Beautiful Florentine Blue-paint Basecoat clearcoat. Grill headlight rings. Interior in exterior doors. Hood trim. All in excellent condition. Double inverted V’s chrome bezeled tail lights. Brand new lens covers.

Upholstery and interior

Custom Interior. Tilt Steering Column. Lower custom door panels feature almost quilted squares with center buttons. Beautiful painted steel dash with billet aluminum gauge cluster with Bosch gauges. Original re-chromed heater air vent grill. Late model high back bucket seats with head rests match the door panel upholstery. Battery mounted in the truck in a battery box. The trunk upholstery matches the interior upholstery. Billet turn signal arm / column tilt lever and misc knobs.

350 V8 Engine 4 Bolt Main with Aluminum Heads. Late 60s - 70s style ribbed aluminum valve covers with center bolts. Oval - ish aluminum air cleaner provides plenty of air for the big four barrel sitting atop a Edelbrock high performance aluminum dual plane manifold. 2 x 2 split tube headers provide plenty of room to change the spark plugs and create less restricted exhaust flow. Chrome alternator. Oversized heavy duty aluminum radiator. HD steel fan.
