1964 Ford Galaxie 500
This is an almost all original 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 2 door fastback with just 38,000 original miles.after owning this car and doing thorough inspections, I am convinced as I am sure you will be, that this mileage is correct.
Engine compartment is untouched and is as it left the factory with special ordered engine dress up kit on it. The engine runs quiet and smooth as you would expect, transmission shifts perfectly, the car is tight and rattle free. Goes down the road straight and true.
Completely rust free body with one respray of the Vintage Burgandy color, however, door jambs and inside the trunk is original paint. Rate about 8 out of 10. Car was ordered with hood ornament and additional lower side trim from the factory. This is rarely seen. Also rear view mirrors on both sides.
Factory air conditioning is engaging and blowing but not as cold as it should be and should be serviced. Everything is intact.
Beautiful champagne vinyl interior, like new. Am/fm factory radio working!
Paint and exterior
One respray of the original color done some time ago. Still looks great and rated 8 of 10.
Upholstery and interior
Beautiful original interior with very minimal wear and a beautiful combination with the Burgundy exterior. Factory seatbelts and also headliner in perfect. Everything works.
Mileage
I have no way to prove this is original miles because current Florida title states exempt, however, a close inspection of the car and especially the underside proves to me that the mileage is correct. This is why I purchased the car myself.
Wheels and tires
15 inch painted steel wheels with the ford poverty caps and black wall radials tires.
Brakes
Manual drum brakes on all 4 corners, may even be the original ones from the factory.
Stops with minimal brake pressure, straight and true, no pulling.
Transmission
3 speed on the column, shifts easily like it should. Fun to drive!
Warranty
No
Runs and drives as new in 1964 but no warranty is offered.
