1967 Porsche 912
I am selling my 1967 Porsche 912 lovingly restored over the last 20+ years due to low use and my spouse and I want to downsize. When the car was purchased in Lake Oswego, Oregon it was Jaguar blue. Even though the paint looked new, a large amount of rust lurked below. That rust has been removed and the car repainted. It is as original as possible with many parts sourced from other vehicles of the same make and model. Aftermarket parts have been used mainly in the interior. The original Blaupunkt radio remains, but does not work. A new aftermarket radio was installed, which includes AM/FM bands, a CD player, and a USB port.
The car includes a Porsche 912 owner's manual a new jack from Porsche, a spare tire on a chrome wheel, a California car cover, battery jumper cables, a battery charger, and vehicle certification from Porsche.
The vehicle engine has been recently overhauled including a rebuilt distributor, a new transmission and clutch and a new set of Continental tires.
Paint and exterior
The original paint, per the certification from Porsche, was Irish green, but I had it changed to blue to match the 1967 Porsche 912 that I owned from 1968-1971. The original rust abatement and new paint were 20+ years ago at a cost of over $10, 500.
Upholstery and interior
The upholstery is black German leatherette with gray carpeting as prescribed by the certification from Porsche. This interior was new 20 years ago and has light use most often with one driver. The new carpet has been covered with mats, now cocoa mats
At the time of purchase, the vehicle supposedly had the engine rebuilt. Unfortunately, it idled poorly and had many oil leaks and poorly functioning aftermarket carburetors. All this has been repaired.
Mileage may or may not be original.
Wheels and tires
Brand new Continental tires 195/15 R60 88T with chrome wheels sporting colored Porsche emblems.
New front disc brakes with new calipers in August 2014. The most recent inspection of the vehicle did not show the need for any repair of brakes.
New Porsche 5-speed transmission and clutch.
