Acquired two years ago, as a nearly monochromatic automobile. I of course have modified it to suit my taste, more conventional but with some modern effects, such as almost everything but the paint: Front and Rear Bumpers, Stainless Trim, Grille, Headlight Rings, New Blue Print 383" Small Block Motor w/ TH350/ 3 speed Transmission, 8.8" Ten Bolt Differential w/ Eaton Detroit Trutrac Limited Slip, Complete rewire. It's hard to find a place not touched, including the addition of American Torque Thrust D's. The car is lowered to the tune of 2" via lowering blocks, retaining the stock semi-elliptical leaf spring system but adding Disc Brakes Front and Rear. The front suspension is now Mustang II with Manual Rack and Pinion Steering. Also replaced the Accessory Drive Unit with Vintage Air with 170 amp Alternator, which should better handle the future plan for adding Vintage Air A/C.

The interior has been cleaned up, with '74 Corvette bucket seats (probably to change in the future)

Paint and exterior

Paint is of the satin variety

Upholstery and interior

as decribed above, '74 Corvette high-back bucket seats. Soon to be replaced with more original bench-seat.

Instruments have been refurbished to original form and function, except the ammeter which is now under-capable due to alternator upgrade.

Engine

Original Engine: No

10:1 Compression, Hydraulic Roller Camshaft; dynoed at 434 Horsepower @ 5500 RPM and 465 foot lbs of Torque @ 4600 RPM. A very stout motor for the street, running on 91 Octane gasoline. Duration @ .050" 221 Intake and 226 Exhaust.

Fun to drive!

Mileage

It's pretty much unknown due to the many changes to the Speedometer over the years. This was someone's daily driver at one time more than likely. Hey, it's 70 years old! But, it looks like a well-cared-for hot rod now.

Transmission

Hughes Turbo Hydramatic 350 three speed automatic with 2500 stall torque converter, also has manual valve body. Currently has a B&M Starshifter w/ Ratcheting capability.
