I am the Market Sales Manager for Hagerty, connecting drivers with classic car insurance in Kansas City as well as the surrounding areas of Topeka, Wichita, and Branson/Springfield areas. I began working for Hagerty in December of 2013, building the awareness of Hagerty throughout the car community as well as with local insurance agents. Prior to Hagerty, I started my career with Amica Mutual Insurance Company in 2001 as an Underwriting Manager and then spent eight years working for Chubb Insurance as a Senior Underwriting Officer and Marketing Specialist. I have a Bachelor’s of Arts in American Studies from University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I am married with two wonderful children, one of which is serving in the Army in Fort Bragg while the other is still enjoying kindergarten!
My husband and I own a 2014 Mustang GT convertible, black with red interior, for those fun summer afternoons!
Kansas City is unique for the Classic Car hobby because it is often overlooked and underrated. Many car enthusiasts look to California or Florida for major activities related to collecting. But Kansas City is really starting to gain momentum and a spot on the classic car community map for its hospitality, central location for many car club national events, and the surprisingly large amount of collector and classic cars in the Kansas City metro area –as well as other Midwest locations in Kansas and Missouri such as Wichita, Branson/Springfield and St. Louis.
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten."– Sir Henry Royce on the value proposition of the Rolls-Royce automobile
Hagerty excites me for what we do for the hobby. Hagerty enjoys giving back to the car community. We genuinely want to be a part of it – and keep it alive. That is what is so exciting about our Youth and Advocacy programs. We are fueling the hobby like no one else; and not just with Hagerty Driving Experiences or Youth Judging, but through our YouTube and social media channels as well. We are connected to the hobby and car community in so many unique and fun ways!
My favorite car event of the year is Art of the Car Concours. It not only benefits the Kansas City Art Institute -- an amazing school -- but we also get to see some incredible vehicles. Car owners from 15 states travel to Kansas City to display their works of art in a picturesque setting in the heart of Kansas City. It doesn’t get much better than that!
