Traverse City, Michigan – Hagerty is pleased to announce the selection of Michael’s Place as its 2016 Nonprofit Partner. This will be the third year of the company’s Annual Nonprofit Partner program.
Michael’s Place will receive a financial investment of $25,000. In addition, Hagerty will provide employee service and pro bono consulting to boost the organization’s internal capacity.

Michael’s Place participated in a competitive review process for the partnership opportunity and made its leadership available for a site visit in November.

The selection of Hagerty’s Annual Nonprofit Partner is the culmination of a year of giving that has generated nearly 15,000 hours of service to date to communities in which the company operates, including hundreds of hours to TART Trails, Hagerty’s 2015 Annual Nonprofit Partner. On December 2, VolunteerMatch, the web’s largest volunteer engagement network, selected TART Trails as its first Innovation Award recipient.

Year-end support is Hagerty’s largest campaign, with three weeks of service and donation drives. Year-end giving kicked off the week of Thanksgiving and included the donation of nearly 800 books for second grade students in the Traverse City Area Public Schools for #GivingTuesday, in addition to adopting 100 elementary school students for Christmas. Additionally, Hagerty held donation drives at its headquarters in Traverse City and its offices in Denver, Canada and the United Kingdom.

- Personal hygiene products for the Women’s Resource Center and Love INC
- Toys for Toys for Tots
- School supplies for Traverse Heights Elementary School

- Household goods for Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region ReStore
- Pet supplies for the Cherryland Humane Society
- Dresses for the Women’s Resource Center Thrift Shop
- Non-perishable food items for the Traverse City High School Food Pantry and Father Fred Foundation
- Warm clothing and essentials for Safe Harbor
