Hagerty Announces Upcoming Grand Tour of Britain

Traverse City, Mich. (Tuesday, March 30, 2010) Hagerty, the world’s leader in collector car insurance, today announced its inaugural “Grand Tour of Britain” travel experience – an insider’s peek into the world of British motorcars. The tour will be led by Hagerty’s own British car expert, Jonathan Stein, from September 12-22, 2010, and will provide a glimpse into the history of some of the country’s most memorable vehicles and landmarks.

“Hagerty has built relationships over the years that have allowed us to open doors to experiences that aren’t often available to the individual enthusiast,” said McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty Insurance Agency. “Our Grand Tour of Britain is a unique opportunity to explore the rich history of some of Britain’s greatest marques such Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Allard and Austin-Healey, surrounded by other enthusiasts as equally interested in the country’s automotive heritage.”

Hagerty’s Grand Tour of Britain will allow an intimate group of up to 30 enthusiasts to explore a selection of some of the country’s most renowned auto-makers, restorers, museums and other historic motoring sites. In addition to a two-day stop at the legendary Goodwood Revival, which some enthusiasts believe is the greatest motoring event in the world, the trip includes visits to:

· Heritage Motor Centre

· Donington Grand Prix Exhibition

· Brooklands Circuit

· Morgan Motor Company

· Crosthwaite & Gardiner Restoration

· Haynes International Motor Museum

· P & A Wood Rolls-Royce and Bentley restorers

· National Motor Museum

· Bonus Tours TBD

The trip will provide accommodations at notable hotels and bed and breakfasts throughout Britain including the Shakespeare Hotel and the Winchester Royal Hotel. On select nights, guests will enjoy three-course dinners with fellow attendees.
