Tricked-out Mopar Challenger celebrates 10 years of factory customs

Mopar celebrates a decade of factory-vehicle customization with the unveiling of the Mopar '19 Dodge Challenger. Based on the 2019 Dodge

For its 10th anniversary of offering factory-custom vehicles to gearheads, Mopar treated the 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack to custom touches inside and out.

The limited-edition Mopar Dodge Challenger will be available in White Knuckle or Pitch Black. Each wears exclusive blue “Shakedown” graphics that stretch the length of the car, beginning on the header panel, wrapping around the Shaker hood scoop, and continuing along the roof and decklid. That Shaker hood will use functional hood pins, just like the factory fiberglass hoods from the ’70 Challenger T/A. Don’t worry, though, because this modern Challenger has actual hinges, too. And the proud owners will be sure to pop the hood often to take in the 485-horsepower, 392-cubic-inch Hemi with its Mopar cold air intake. It’s all shackled down underneath a Mopar strut tower that stiffens the front end.

The special edition Challenger will wear Mopar badging proclaiming its status on the rear spoiler, passenger-side dash, and on the center caps of the 20-inch aluminum wheels. (And, just for good measure, embroidered into the cloth seats.) Each limited-edition Challenger also comes with an owners kit that includes the car’s “birth certificate,” with the build number and date of manufacture, along with documentation, artwork, and an engraved keepsake with the Challenger’s VIN.

We’re not sure whether any other options are on the table, as the cars come loaded up with most of the go-fast goodies you can get on the 6.4-liter models, but buyers will have a choice between the standard six-speed manual or eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. MSRP for the Mopar ’19 Challenger is $45,835, and orders open up in September for late 2019 deliveries.
