Thank you, Canada, for this crazy Cadillac Brougham snow limo

Snow Cat Cadillac limo

Oh, Canada, how we love you. Where else could we find a 1989 Cadillac Brougham limousine converted into the craziest, coolest, you’ve-got-be-kidding-me snow machine we’ve ever seen?

If you think this beast could be a movie star, then you get the picture. That’s exactly what Vancouver’s Robert Falck had in mind when he built it. And now that the unnamed film is complete, Falck is selling the jaw-dropping limo for $6000 on Craigslist, and his phone has been getting quite a workout. He told Jalopnik that he is “literally fielding about 30 calls a day.”

Falck calls the custom build a Snowcat limo. According to Jalopnik, he drew inspiration from a Bombardier B12 he once owned, and the Cadillac rides on a Bombardier SV250 Skidozer platform. Falck used square tubing to build a ladder frame and mate the two; he also utilized a number of GM truck parts.

Instead of wheels, the limo has skis up front and a pair of 29-inch-wide tracks in back. Falck’s custom work included modifying and raising the suspension, installing a power steering cooler, adding a rack-and-pinion setup, and installing large side exhaust pipes. Power is provided by a Chevrolet V-8 coupled to a TH350 three-speed transmission. The limo has a driveshaft brake and rear drum brakes.

Falck says the limo has a top speed of about 15 mph and works best on groomed trails. It has already made its way into our hearts and left tracks there.
