Can’t get enough of Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee? Impatiently waiting for the new (10th!?!) season to begin on July 6? Well, we’re not sure if what we’re about to say will ease your anxiety or only make it worse, but here goes: You’ve got to check out Jerry’s Instagram page.
The car-loving comedian announced the lineup for the new season of his popular show by posting a photo of each funny guest who fearlessly agreed to take a spin in a classic car before stopping for a cup of joe. The star-studded group includes the late Jerry Lewis, Dana Carvey, Kate McKinnon, Alec Baldwin, Brian Regan, Ellen DeGeneres, Zach Galifianakis, John Mulaney, Dave Chappelle, Neal Brennan, Tracy Morgan, and Hasan Minhaj.
From the interior photos we could make out a handful of the cars, including a Cadillac XLR, Volkswagen Thing, and Porsche 356C. We know these because Jerry told us so in the captions. With a little effort we could probably figure out some of the others, but we’d rather be surprised. (OK, we lied. The truth is, we didnt take the time to try. If you can figure them out let us know in the comments.)
The legendary Lewis died last August at the age of 91, so the episode featuring him will be more a tribute to the comedy actor. Seinfeld wrote on Instagram: “As I’ve said many times, if you don’t get Jerry Lewis, you don’t understand comedy. Spending an afternoon with him… was a comedy life moment for me.”
In the photo with Regan, Seinfeld writes, “This is a blue Cadillac XLR from the mid-2000s. It’s the automotive equivalent of a man who colors his eyebrows, wears shorts with a belt, and tucks his shirt into the shorts. But this is the favorite car of the brilliant @brianregancomedian.” Turns out we don’t have to wait to get a few laughs after all.
All 59 episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee can be found on Netflix. The first nine seasons of the show aired on Crackle.
