Photo Gallery: Building character with cars and trucks from Sema 2015

Walking the expansive grounds of the 2015 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., you can’t help but notice the thousands of spectators with perma-grins plastered on their faces. And why not? SEMA is the premier automotive trade event in the world, and so it brings some of the coolest builds and hottest products to one place. Although SEMA is not open to the general public, Hagerty had boots on the ground, and we’re excited to share some of our favorite photos with you.

I am not a big fan of imports, but the fully engraved car with the Savini license plate is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I have never seen this done on a whole car. Excellent new idea.

Nothing worse than fake worn paint. Can't believe people think there is anything cool about it. It never looks close to real.

Wait just a moment: It seems too early for an April Fool's joke, so what's going on here? I must say those selections look...well, horrible! What gives? Foose, Kindig, and Trepanier as well as others must be scratching their heads. I know I am.

It's a style . Use what u have or what u can get for cheap. Kinda like what they did in the old days. What created hot rods . But nothing can beat real patina . Fake patina is weak . But clearly people like that "style" of rods enough 2 try and recreate it. Some rat rods some one of a kind idea . It's art for the people that creat and build them. Your not going 2 like all of them . it is interesting what people come up with .
