Photo Gallery: Family Night at the Drive-In

In honor of National Collector Car Appreciation Day on July 10, Hagerty Classic Cars magazine took over the Cascade Drive-in in West Chicago, Ill., and opened it exclusively to classic vehicle owners, who came from near and far for a showing of "Minions" in a car show-like setting. A wide array of classics was on hand, and many owners dressed up in costume to match the era of their vehicles. Here we share our favorite photos and a video of the event.

Looks like this event was a total blast!! We don't have any drive-ins left around our neck of the woods any more - they closed the one in Union City years ago & built a shopping mall & movie theater where it used to be. AND they tore up the old Fremont Drag strip, too. So sad.

Damn I wish we still had a drive in movie in Tallahassee! Had many a good time years ago but from y'all's pictures that looked FUN!

Been going to the Cascade for decades and still drive the original '74 TA that my wife and I first went there with back when I first bought it in '74. Would have loved to have gone but didn't know about it even though I read all the Hagerty e-mail I receive since I have a number of cars insured thru them. Maybe next time
