I’m a Market Sales Manager with Hagerty, helping to provide drivers with classic car insurance in Northern California. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area to a family of car people. My fondest memories were of taking vacations in my mom and dad’s ’68 Chevy truck with a camper on the back. We took that thing everywhere! This was the same truck I learned to drive in. Soon thereafter, my dad and I restored a 1953 Chevy truck that was my daily driver throughout high school and college; I still have it today, and will NEVER part with it! I love the hobby because everyone young and old can appreciate the beauty and styling of classic vehicles.
I’ve worked at Hagerty for 3 years now, and I couldn’t think of a cooler job being around all of these great classic vehicles on a day to day basis.
The classic car scene in the bay area is unique because you have such a variety of enthusiasts. One day I could be at a rat rod cruise-in, and the next be at the Ferrari Concours d’Elegance. There are so many shows going on any given weekend, you can pretty much take your pick on what type of vehicle you would like to see that day.

Hagerty is more than just an insurance company... we take a strong position in the fight to preserve the hobby and important historical vehicles. Let’s face it, this hobby is in an uphill battle, and we all need to do our part to preserve it for the next generation.
My favorite car event is the Blackhawk Auto Museum’s 1st Sunday Car and Coffee. It’s a monthly event that is low-key, and very diverse. All makes/models are invited, so you see a different mix of cars every month. There is no judging, so just a fun and low-stress event for the car owners.
