Seminar topics and times

Trans Am Legends
, from 9-10:30 a.m., will feature some of the greatest surviving drivers and team members from America’s greatest road racing series, Trans Am, which from 1968-72 pitted against each other classic pony cars from the Big Three, American Motors, Porsche, Alfa Romeo and Datsun in a race-on-Sunday, sell-on-Monday high stakes competition. Jonathan Stein will moderate the discussion between racers George Follmer and John Morton, team owner Peter Brock and crew chief Jerry Schwarz.

Under the Hood – An Insider’s Look at the Scottsdale Auctions by Hagerty, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., is a continuation of the seminar from Pebble Beach in which Hagerty valuation experts and guests will weigh in on the cars crossing the block at Scottsdale, with a special emphasis on the Corvette market in the model’s anniversary year. Moderated by Adam Martin with panelists Rob Sass, Dave Kinney, Donald Osborne, Ken Lingenfelter and Wayne Carini of TV's "Chasing Classic Cars."

Secrets of an Elite Detailer, from 1-2 p.m. will feature Master detailer Tim McNair, who has prepped cars for the world’s greatest concours including Pebble Beach, Amelia Island and Villa d’Este. In reality, though, he’s a down-to-earth guy eager to share his secrets with the rest of us. Check out this one-hour seminar and see how to make you car look the best it can.

In addition, we encourage you to attend the Collectors Foundation’s Bring Back Shop Class presentation — “It’s Not About the Car!” — featuring Lyn St. James, the first woman to win Rookie of the Year in the Indy 500, from 7:30-8:30 a.m., also on Thursday at the Penske Museum.

Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m., prior to the Trans Am Legends seminar.
