Watch Hagerty's 'World of Shelby' seminar from Scottsdale

Hagerty presented three free seminars at Scottsdale in 2011: "World of Shelby," "Entry-Level Collector Cars," and "Emerging Collectibles." Watch "World in Shelby" below.

  • The “World of Shelby” seminar (above) covered in detail all Shelby automobiles, from the first leaf spring Cobras of 1962 to the 2012 GT500, and celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Cobra. This question-and-answer session featured a panel of Shelby royalty – Peter Brock, Chuck Cantwell, Phil Remington, Colin Comer, Rick Kopec and John Luft, along with special guest Bob Bondurant. Special attention was paid to the future collectability of Shelby automobiles.
  • “Entry-Level Collector Cars” built on 2010's seminar of the same name, as panelists Dave Kinney, Rob Sass, Andy Reid and Randy Nonnenberg, along with moderator Wayne Carini, discussed how some of their picks did over the past year and offered first-time buyers collector car choices that won’t break the bank. Included interactive five-year investment snapshots from Hagerty Valuation Tools.
  • Over the last few years, collector car auctions have seen several “Emerging Collectibles” among the usual Ferraris, Corvettes and Duesenbergs, as motorcycles, tractors, pickup trucks and early Japanese cars have been showing up and are generally received with significant interest. Panelists B. Mitchell Carlson, Paul Duchene and Rob Sass, along with moderator McKeel Hagerty, discussed the market, as well as the ins and outs of adding something unusual to your collection.
