Every Alfa Romeo owner or enthusiast has a different passion for the Milanese Marque. For some an Alfa was his or her first car and for others the beauty was too much to resist. Here three dedicated Alfa enthusiasts tell their stories, and what attracts them to the car.

Mark Gessler didn't grow up on a daily diet of Alfa and Romeo. His father was a Hot Rodder, but he wanted Mark to stay out of anything that was too dangerous. Despite his dad's best efforts, nothing could keep Mark away from Alfas after he discovered the unique charisma and history of the marque.

When Michele Muller bought herself a 1986 Spider Graduate as a birthday present to herself, it started her love affair with Alfas - and spawned another love affair in the process. She met her husband at an Alfa club event, and they had their first date in his Giulietta TI. Alfas, she says, are "great cars for getting around, and getting around in a certain spirit."

Wicker Francis grew up around cars, but he was fascinated as much by how they're put together as how they run. He never had any formal training, but he spent a lot of Saturday nights tinkering in the garage rather than chasing girls. "Alfas have such beautiful engines," he said. "There's something quite special about the way Italians do things. They're meticulous craftsmen."
