I recently sustained damage to the fabric/vinyl top of my 1931 Chevy coupe while trailering it to a car show. At 55 MPH, the wind lifted the top until it ripped. Once ripped, the wind got underneath and tore it half off. A friend told me that any convertible owner would have advised me to open the side windows an inch to avoid this. Does this work? I want to be able to trailer this car again without worrying about damaging the top.

I have some original tires mounted on original wheels from a 1974 Pantera. The tires were made specifically for the car so I would like to keep them to use at car shows once or twice a year.
