I have had my original numbers matching 1968 Camaro 2dr Coupe with RS options for sale on consignment for 18 months now and not one serious offer. This has been very discouraging. I know the economy is not so good, however, I also know that there are a lot of car collectors with lots of money that should be interested in a solid investment. Could you give me any advice? Am I expecting too much for my car even though I know it is worth what I am asking? Thanks
I’m sorry to hear of your frustration and difficulties in even getting one interested party for your collector car. I guess the age-old solution for not having interest in what you have to sell is to lower the price, as you know. But importantly enough, it is a good idea to also try to find the largest marketplace which is likely to be filled with interested potential buyers.  I’m sure you have purchased Hemmings Motor News, the monthly sales catalog filled with collector cars, before. Let me recommend them as a good place to try to sell your vehicle directly. Their advertising department is at 800 227 4373. They will also include an online advertisement at no extra cost.  I’d go ahead and plump for the larger ad, in color, in order to ensure you get as many sets of eyes looking at your vehicle as possible. This way, you might not need to lower your price as much as you think.
