Datsun actually made a 1975 280Z for three months. Back then, safety laws took effect in June of each year and emissions laws went into effect in Sept. I was a parts man/manager for Datsun back then and the 741/2 model the video speaks of was, by VIN a 1975 model and the dealers sold them as 75 models.. For three months there was a 260 with the larger 280 bumpers but it was still carbuerated. In Sept it bacame the fuel injected 280Z. I wish I had a dollar for every 280Z emblem we sold to 1975 260 ownwers.
