The World of Mustang

There’s just something about a Ford Mustang. For some, it’s the brawny muscle, for others it’s the car’s undeniably sexy good looks. For whatever reason, diehard fans’ devotion to the model hasn’t wavered. Read on for our profile of Mustang, in which we explore just what it is that has inspired such loyalty. We also look at how the Mustang’s allure continues to inspire youth today in our profile of a 17-year-old who undertook a complete restoration of a ’66 model, and we ride along in a 1987 Mustang GT during a Rally North America event.

40 years of GTO‘Can-do’ attitude spurs teen to restore 1966 Mustang

Tom Brady has learned a little something about learning. Like, it doesn’t always have to come via books. Brady, 17, is more of a doer than a reader, and he carried that “can do” attitude to new heights when he completely restored a 1966 Mustang with the help of his father. “I had no idea what I was getting myself into,” Brady said

40 years of GTO‘Rattle Trap’: ’87 Mustang GT shakes up road rally

It all started back in December with a phone call from my buddy Scott: “Hey, man, do you want to go on a rally?” After learning that it would pass through our hometown - Greenville, S.C. - I was sold. Then the kicker: Scott informed me he wanted to do it in his 24-year-old daily beater of a 1987 Mustang GT, affectionately dubbed “Rattle Trap.”

  41. Auth Interesting video! The clip that you claimed is elssues is actually a safety feature introduced to prevent the rotor from falling during installation, preventing injury or death. Children have been killed by fallen brake drums and many mechanics have been injured. You bent over at one point in your video directly under the rotor. That is exactly what that clip was designed for. It may seem trivial but in fact was mandated out of tragedy. You may consider retracting your comment.Kind regards.

I currently own a 1964.5 Coupe and a 2008 GT Convetible. The 64.5 is Pagoda Green - one of the 6 colors discontinued when they came out in Sept of 1964. It also has a D-code engine - also discontinued in Sept of 64. It has about 67500 documented miles on it and is currently in storage for the winter. I live near the location of the "Worlds largest one day automobile event" - the Woodward Dream Cuise". We get vehicles from around the world for the third saturday in August. If you are in the area - give me a hollar.
